Frequently asked questions
Listing your business, managing your profile and advertising on Dover Guide.
Listing submissions
Use the Submit a listing page to share the business name, category, address and contact details. You can include a real photo. You don't need to sign in to submit a listing. Check the Local Directory first so you don't submit a duplicate.
Yes. Directory listings are free. Banner advertising is separate and does not purchase a Verified badge or change community review scores.
An automatic check reviews the details and looks for duplicates. Submissions it can confidently accept may appear immediately as unverified listings. Others wait for an admin to review them. The submission page tells you whether your listing was published or sent for review.
Verification
It identifies a listing whose ownership has been confirmed through an approved claim or whose verification status has been set by a directory admin. It is not a guarantee of service quality, a business license check or an endorsement by Digital Directories LLC.
Claim the existing listing and explain your relationship to the business. A directory admin reviews the claim. Approval connects the listing to your account and marks it Verified. You cannot buy verification.
Yes. Unverified businesses can still appear in the directory. Confirm important details such as hours, availability and prices directly with the business, especially before making a trip.
Directory claims
Open your business profile and choose “Claim this listing,” or visit the Claim page. Sign in, select the business, choose your relationship and provide a note that helps us confirm you're authorized to manage it. Claims are reviewed by a directory admin.
Sign in and return to the Claim page to see your claim's status. If a claim is declined or the wrong account manages your listing, contact Digital Directories LLC with the business name and the details of the issue.
You can upload a real business photo, set weekly opening hours and price details, and update social links from the Claim page. You can also answer visitor questions about your business. For other corrections, use the Contact page.
