About Dover Guide

Dover Guide is an independent local directory for Dover, Ohio. It helps residents and visitors find trusted local businesses, community events, things to do and civic resources — all in one place, with nearby Tuscarawas County results clearly labeled.

Who runs it

Dover Guide is run by Timothy Liversage through Stray Cat Digital, a local web studio. It is not affiliated with the City of Dover, any chamber of commerce, or any listed business. Listings are compiled from public sources and from businesses themselves, and business owners can claim and correct their own listing at any time.

How listings work

Every listing starts unverified. When a business owner claims their listing and we confirm it's really them, the listing earns a Verified badge and the owner can keep hours, prices, photos and social links up to date themselves. Community reviews are moderated before they appear, and paid advertising is always labeled as sponsored — it never changes search rankings or review scores.

How we make money

Dover Guide is supported by clearly labeled banner advertising from local businesses. Listings themselves are always free, and no one can pay for a better ranking, a Verified badge, or a better review.
