What we collect

If you create an account, we store your email address and the favorites, reviews, claims and questions you post. If you submit a listing, event or banner ad, we store the details and images you provide. We also keep simple, anonymous counts of page views and clicks so we can show businesses how their listing or ad is performing — these counts are not tied to who you are.

How we use it

We use your information to run the directory: showing your reviews and answers, emailing sign-in codes, sending listing owners their monthly performance reports, and sending advertisers their weekly ad reports. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence: the Ask page matches your question to local businesses, questions on listing pages may be answered with the help of AI web search, and submitted listings and ads are checked by AI before a person reviews them. Text you type into these features is sent to an AI provider solely to produce an answer or review. We do not use your personal data to train AI models, and AI-generated answers on the site are always labeled as unconfirmed unless a business owner has verified them.

Third-party content

Business photos, ratings and hours may come from Google Maps and are credited where required. Maps are provided by OpenStreetMap. When you follow a link to another website, their privacy policy applies, not ours.

Your choices

You can delete your reviews and favorites at any time. To correct or remove a business listing, claim it or contact us. To delete your account and the personal information attached to it, email us at [email protected].
